‘After the Show’ Notes

As CEO of Aster Farms, Julia brings an expertise in entrepreneurship, supply chain management and business development to the Aster team. Julia began her career as a buyer for Bloomingdale's, leaving after four years to launch a tech startup that went through Techstars and was ultimately acquired in 2016 by XO Group, where she was Director of Revenue Products. Her personal interest in cannabis is rooted in her battle with chronic migraines, incorporating the plant with her prescribed routine to mitigate symptoms, balance equilibrium and chart a healthy course.

Hire Local and Supporting Your Community

The Mendocino Complex fire was the largest fire in California history, scorching nearly 500,000 acres in Lake and Mendocino Counties, displacing families, lives and communities. Aster Farms was directly affected by the Mendocino Complex Fire and received so much love and support from their local community and volunteer fire fighters.

Harry's Harvest is a give-back program from Aster Farms with an emphasis on supporting the communities where we live and farm.

We didn’t have Dr. V in the room to help us when we were struggling to come up with the term Vasodilators. But I did have her across from me when I was writing these show notes. :) Vasodilators are medicines that dilate (widen) blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily through. Some act directly on the smooth muscle cells lining the blood vessels.

For almost twenty years, I created brand stories and experiences for international clients while working for major media companies – CBS Sports, Infinity National Radio, Emmis Communications, Entercom, and Maker Media. Maintaining a hectic work and social life took its toll, and at 35-years-old I quit my job, gave away my possessions, sold my car, and took a mid-life retirement in Bologna, Italy. I woke up every day with the mission of dreaming up how to get paid to be myself. I wanted to live an inspired life. Casually Baked was born from there. Connect on Social: @casuallybaked
