Practical ways to have less plastic in your life - choose a couple that feel doable for you because even the smallest efforts make a giant impact. If you're really feeling frisky, get involved in a bigger way.

If your cannabis dispensary doesn't have a recycling program recommend they use (or model after) one of these existing vape pen programs - Kure Botanicals and Bloom Farms.

And, to be clear. It is against California law to recycle the cartridges at the present time, but I still encourage you to return them through a cannabis recycling program rather than tossing them in the garbage. Put the responsibility back on the brands; it will remind them to keep fighting for a solution. And while you're at it, you can email your own comments or concerns to the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) at calcannabis@cdfa.ca.gov.

UPDATE ADDITION April 2020: A great example of a cannabis brand putting the planet and farmers first is Brother David’s.
